Hey folks. I'm Donna, or M. Or something like that. And I'm a newb.

I've been playing Mafia with a few of you, and everyone's been bugging me to come join... so I did. You won't see much of me until Sunday, though, but I had a few minutes and I figured I'd join up. On epicmafia, I'm donnashowl, 3foldman, and I roleplay as SonicThHedgehog (yes! I roleplay! No, I'm not going to bug you with it here. I know how to read, thanks).

Elsewhere, I'm an English education major, senior at a small Michigan university, a deconstructionist, a big old nerd, and a newb cosplayer. I like Sonic, Pokemon, and Doctor Who, among a lot of other things. I uh, I love pizza? I dunno

My favorite Sonic game is Shadow the Hedgehog. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I'm actually sort of good at it. Not as good as you guys though, holy crap. I also love the dark plotline, the way Eggman (my second faovrite character) was handled in it, the music, and the aesthetic. And actually making Maria Robotnik a fully fleshed out character and not DeadInnocentGirlTM. And the GUN Commander. Waugh, he's hot for an old guy. And the President. Man, if we had a president like that... Oh, and I think it's great how Sonic's character arc is deconstructed in Shadow, and how it highlights his hang-up with acheivement.

Can you tell I'm an English major? Hee.

I also like Shadow the Hedgheog best becuase of all the various options regarding gameplay. The Mission format appealed to me quite a bit, as does the ability to interact with objects.

And uh.. that's all I can think of that you guys need to know. Thanks for inviting me to your site! I'll get some records (that fail) up in the next couple weeks.

Oh, I'm used to it. I actually accept Shadow's technical inferiority to the 2D games (I refuse, however, to accept as such regarding SA1 and SA2. While the actual content of the game is kind of lamesauce unless you're a dork like me, the cameras and homing physics seem a lot more reliable and useful to me in Shadow, and less prone to wacky glitchery *coughBiolizardcough*.). So people can make fun of me. I'm used to it. :)

Hey, I've got a lot of stuff to look up and submit, and some of my scores I'm not... "done" with yet. That, and my best Shadow score is kind of fail.

I'll get submitting after my exams. I shouldn't even be on here right now, LOL. I have a paper to write and studying to do by 4 tomorrow.

And yeah, Shadow Jacky, I'm not going to argue that Shadow has some horrible problems. But it doesn't have problems with the few things that really frustrated me about SA2, plus... YAY GUNS. :3

I have SA2B but I want to get StH and a 360 to get Unleashed, and get Dark Brotherhood which I hear isn't really that bad. I have the PS2 but I am iffy on getting the PS2 version so I'll wait. But.. that's just what they say. Just because they say it, doesn't mean it's true. :p Saying that people say it when they do say it but it's not true doesn't invalidate the statement. it's just that people say something that happens to be false, but they still say it. OMG I sound like Bridge from Power Rangers SPD, or Mojo Jojo from the PPG. LOL.

Also, considering that SA2B was released all the way until '04, he wasn't really claiming much to begin with...  SA2 != SA2B

I would say I have a grudge against the sonic games made after '96, but I can't... S1MMv4 came out this year!

I can personally say I'm a purist, however if it wasn't for the 3D games, we wouldn't have TSC, and I wouldn't have these great people...  just because they aren't my cup of TeAing goodness doesn't mean they aren't good games.

also, perhaps SEGA will follow Capcom and make Sonic 4 for DLC/VC/PC? >_>
